Opening of the First European Hypertension Excellence center in the Gulf for managing hypertension at BSH.

Hypertension is the most common cardiovascular disease worldwide.  Globally it affects around 40% of the population above 25 years of age. In the Gulf region, it affect around 25% of the population. In other wards about 45 million person in the region has high blood pressure, above 140/90mmHg. This number could clearly elaborate the burden of Hypertension on the health whether from the individual aspect or on governmental health planning levels.

Reducing blood pressure with proper management could reduce the risks for many target organs specifically the heart, brain and kidneys. With reducing blood pressure Stroke and coronary heart disease will be reduced.

We are pleased to announce the opening of the First European Hypertension Excellence center in the Gulf for managing hypertension at Bahrain specialist hospital. The goal of establishing this center is to provide the most updated modalities of hypertension management to all of the population. We excel in getting the most recent medical information and implement it to benefit all the patient in Bahrain and the Gulf region. The management modalities followed and treatment plans are according to the European standards and guidelines. The center is one of 168 centers allocated around the world.

We would like to welcome all patients with hypertension with all other medical conditions. Clinic visit, emergency management and regular follow up are provided 24 hours through the whole week.
