Dr. Najah Rashid Al Zayani Shared an Innovative Approach to Metabolic Liver Disease at the Bahrain Diabetes & Obesity Conference

On 20th November 2024, Bahrain Specialist Hospital celebrated the impactful contribution of Dr. Najah Rashid Al Zayani, Vice Chairperson of the Board and Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology, during the Bahrain Diabetes & Obesity Conference. Held under the esteemed patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Women, and His Excellency Lt. Gen. Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council of Health, the event brought together leading voices in medical innovation and public health.

Dr. Al Zayani delivered a keynote lecture titled “Metabolic Liver Disease: A New Vision in Care,” where she addressed the growing challenge of liver conditions linked to obesity and diabetes. Her presentation explored the global rise of metabolic liver disease, emphasizing its impact on patient well-being and the need for a comprehensive care approach. She highlighted the importance of combining advanced medications, lifestyle interventions, and psychosocial support to improve treatment outcomes and reduce long-term risks.

“Adopting innovative strategies in treatment could significantly enhance patients’ lives and support more efficient, effective care,” she stated.
